Our Beliefs

Our Core Beliefs

At the Church of Jesus Christ Emmanuel, our beliefs form the foundation of our vision and guide our actions. We are committed to:

  • The Triune God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal.
  • The Authority of Scripture: We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, revealing His will and providing the foundation for our faith and practice.
  • The Lordship of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, 1 ascended to heaven, and will return in glory.
  • Salvation through Grace: We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works. We believe that by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our sins and reconciled to God.
  • The Power of the Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for service, imparts spiritual gifts, and guides us into all truth.
  • The Church as the Body of Christ: We believe that the church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers, united in faith and called to worship, fellowship, and service. We believe in the importance of gathering together to worship God.
  • Spiritual Growth and Transformation: We believe that God desires to transform us into the likeness of Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the importance of prayer, Bible study, and discipleship for spiritual growth
  • The Great Commission: We believe that we are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people, making disciples of all nations.
  • Community and Service: We believe in demonstrating God’s love through acts of compassion, service, and outreach to our community and the world.
